285 billion rubles paid for premium vehicles in Russia for six month

Experts of AUTOSTAT analytic agency calculated that about 1 trillion rubles were spent for the new passenger cars in Russia during 6 months of 2020. At the same time, 285 billion rubles were paid for the premium-segment vehicles.


The largest amount of money was paid for Mercedes-Benz vehicles - almost 85 billion rubles. Vehicles of another German brand – BMW – cost a little less (84 billion rubles). During six months, about 37 billion rubles were spent for the purchase of Lexus, 24.5 billion rubles for Audi, 18.5 billion rubles for Land Rover, 13 billion rubles for Porsche vehicles. Other 10 billion rubles were paid for Volvo. Each of the remaining premium brands (Infiniti, Cadillac, Jeep, Genesis, MINI, Jaguar, Smart) cost less than 3 billion rubles. In total, that is about 14 billion rubles, or about 5% of the total money paid for premium vehicles.
