Nissan plant produced the 450,000th car in St. Petersburg

Nissan plant in St. Petersburg has produced the 450,000th car since the plant was opened in June of 2009.

The jubilee model was the new Nissan X-Trail in bright orange in the LE Top configuration, the press service of the Japanese brand reports. Currently, the plant produces the brand's bestsellers - crossovers Nissan Qashqai, X-Trail and Murano. Among the produced 450,000 cars, 53% belonged to Nissan X-Trail, 26% - to Qashqai and 8% - to Murano. In 2020, 38,350 vehicles rolled off the Nissan assembly line in St. Petersburg. Let us remind you that after the summer holidays in August the plant started to work, and the updated Qashqai and X-Trail were set on the conveyor.

For all manufactured cars, a two-component varnish technology was introduced. Advanced paint technology improves the body's resistance to various influences such as chips and scratches. According to Andrey Akifiev, the managing director of the regional division of Nissan East, Qashqai and X-Trail will soon receive ProPilot, which is the first level of autonomous control system.
