The Russian LCV market fell to the seventh place in Europe in May

The Russian LCV market, which in May reduced the decline rate, nevertheless, fell to the seventh place in the European championship. According to the European Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ASEA), the sales of light commercial vehicles in Europe fell by 46.2% to 104,366 units in the previous month.


France became the leader among European countries in sales of LCVs up to 3.5 tons, where this segment reached 27,483 cars (-32.9%). The second place is taken by Germany with 15,761 sold cars (-7.6%), and the third place is occupied by Italy, the LCV market of which reached 11,500 units (-35.3%). Spain is the next, where 8,574 light commercial vehicles were sold (-58.7%). The United Kingdom still finished the top-five with 7,541 cars (-74.1%).

If we consider Russia when considering the European LCV market, then our country dropped to the seventh place in the European championship, behind Belgium. According to the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, the market volume of light commercial vehicles reached 5,536 units in Russia in May (-27%).
