The market of used electric vehicles grew by 43% in February

In February, the Russian market of new electric cars grew 5 times; however, the situation in this segment in the secondary market was also quite interesting.

So, according to the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, in the previous winter month, the residents of our country bought 386 used electric vehicles, which is higher by 43% than in February of 2020.

The lion's share of preferences (86%) here belonged to Nissan Leaf model, the resale of which was 332 units. In addition, in February, the Russians purchased 16 used Chevrolet Bolt electric cars, 9 units – Tesla Model S, 8 – Tesla Model 3, 6 – Tesla Model X and BMW i3, 5 - Mitsubishi I-Miev, 2 - Jaguar I-Pace and 1 each – Hyundai Ioniq and Hyundai Kona. Most used electric vehicles in February were purchased by the residents of Primorsky Krai (35 units), Irkutsk region (30 units), Krasnodar (28 units) and Khabarovsk (24 units) regions.

Moscow and St. Petersburg share the fifth place in this rating - in both constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the resale of used electric cars was 19 units the last month. Experts also calculated that since the beginning of this year, 740 electric vehicles have changed their owners in our country. This is higher by 40% than in January - February 2020.
