Geely is the second one - for 6 months, 4,499 Russians (+ 12%) became owners of new cars of this brand. At Chery, which ranks the third, sales also grew, albeit less significantly (+ 4%). But Changan recorded the best market growth (4 times), and 2234 cars were sold. FAW (713 units) also entered the top-five of leaders of the Chinese segment in the Russian market, which also showed the positive dynamics (+ 53%). In addition to the listed brands, only Lifan (638 units; -76%) and DFM (449 units; -45%) were able to overcome the bar of 400 sold vehicles in the first half of this year.
Sales of the rest Chinese automakers in Russia for the reporting period were about 200 units. Experts of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT also noted that, according to the results of June, the market dynamics in the “Chinese segment” is also positive and even higher than in the first six months. So, in the first month of summer, 4,119 cars were sold, which is higher by 34% than in June of 2019.
